Keep track on your electricity

The current situation in the world has resulted in energy prices being higher than ever. The costs are extra noticeable as the temperature lowers and we turn up the heat at home. Therefore it's good to keep tabs on your energy consumption to keep the costs down.

Here are the biggest energy theifs in your home

  1. Heating, radiators and floor heating
  2. Warm water, showers, baths and dishes
  3. Towel dryer
  4. Technology on stand-by
  5. Old kitchen appliances

Tips to keep the costs down

Lower the indoor temperature

Heating in your home is the largest energy consumer during the colder months. Try lowering the temperature by as little as 1 or 2 degrees. Your wallet will thank you when the energy bill is due.

Be wary with the warm water

Tibber calculates a 10 minute shower to be around 10 sek. One short shower per day adds up to almost 1 000 sek per month, if you shower every day. Here, there's money to be saved. Because who really gets enough from a 10 minute shower. Scheduling your gym sessions in the morning and showering afterwards could save you a lot of money every month.

Turn of your unused technology

Your TV, computer and technology stuff on stand-by is not the biggest energy consumer. But it's really unnecessary to spend while they're essentially turned of. Pull all the plugs and make your stuff is completely turned off. Why not get extension plugs with power switches to make it a little bit easier.

Replace your kitchen appliances

Old appliances consume more power. Changing them to newer, energy efficient, ones may be a large cost now that can save you in the long run.
